The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (“CARES Act”) Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) was signed into law March 27, 2020 and the Family First Coronavirus Response Act (FFA) a few days earlier. The PPP is aimed at keeping employees (or getting them back) on the payrolls by offering employers 2 and half months of payroll through 100% forgivable loans. The FFA is focused on paid sick and safe leave for employees affected by the Coronavirus.
